Living at Apley Grange

Care Home for Women

Warm, friendly and supportive environment

Philosophy of Care

At Apley Grange we provide support, care and nursing according to individual needs. Our aim is to support the Sisters and residents to lead full and happy lives, and be as independent as possible. In doing this we consider each individual's physical, emotional and spiritual needs, their abilities and personalities. Their views, opinions and choices are valued and respected.

We would like to extend this welcome to Apley Grange to other women who would like to be cared for in this warm, friendly and supportive environment.

Living at Apley Grange

Set within secluded gardens and grounds in a quiet residential area close to the Stray, Apley Grange is able to provide nursing, dementia and end of life care according to individual need. We are also able to offer respite care.

There are currently 42 single ensuite rooms. Each room has a SMART television, internet access and a telephone. Lifts serve the rooms on the upper floors. Residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms, bringing small items of furniture and other treasured possessions if they so wish.

Visitors are always welcome at Apley Grange, open visiting making it easy for relatives and friends to pop in at their convenience.

Shared Spaces: Lounges, Sitting Areas & Libraries

Through out Apley Grange you will find lounges and smaller seating areas where you can relax, some lounges have large smart TV’s, some areas are near bookshelves and are ideal quiet areas to read a book or enjoy a newspaper. There is ample space for activity sessions and many of our seating areas look out over the beautiful gardens. We also have daily mass in our chapel and an oratory available for private prayer.

The Chapel

The spiritual needs of each person are important in the holistic care offered in Apley Grange.  There are regular services in chapel and these services are available to view from the lounge areas and individual rooms by video link. Opportunities are provided for prayer and reflection by the Pastoral Care Team, and our Priest.

Apley Grange is a good place. I have lived here for nearly 10 years, and always felt happy and at home.
